SamSpedy Entertainment is the YouTube channel of Nigerian comedian, actor, and content creator Samuel Oluwafemi Asubiojo, widely known by his online alias, SamSpedy. Renowned for his comedic sketches that humorously depict African family dynamics, SamSpedy has garnered a substantial following, amassing over 4 million subscribers and more than 1.13 billion views on his main channel as of February 2024. 

Early Life and Education

Born on May 5, 1994, in Lagos State, Nigeria, SamSpedy hails from Ido-Osi, Ekiti State. Raised in Abuja, he attended the Abuja International Academy for his primary education and Royal College for his secondary education. Demonstrating a keen interest in medicine, he pursued a medical degree at Zaporizhzhia State Medical University in Ukraine, graduating in 2018. However, after completing his studies, he chose to forgo a medical career to follow his passion for comedy. 

YouTube Career and Content Creation

SamSpedy embarked on his YouTube journey in 2012, initially sharing comedic content that resonated with audiences familiar with African cultural nuances. His channel gained significant traction with the "African Home" series, where he portrays characters like Mama Ojo and Papa Ojo, humorously depicting everyday family scenarios. One of his most viewed videos, "AFRICAN HOME: IN MY FEELINGS CHALLENGE," has garnered over 7 million views since its release in July 2018.
